Mom looked in this morning and saw this:
Not sure if she just like the new spot or more tgat her brothers can't figure out how to get up that far. She has been using it to nap and get a better view of the birds outside.

Mom had no plans and the weather here was fabulous. Open windows for 3 days. Woohoo
The kittens will be staying for about 3 weeks or so. They have an upper respiratory infection that just won't go away. Mom did find out they were part of a litter of 9 kittens plus mom that all came in sick. The kittend were broken into groups so not to overwhelm one foster home.
They've all gotten super friendly but have hit the "no time to snuggle things to do" age. Plus mom had to rig a cover on the airlock to baby jail since someone escaped the other day:
In the meantime it's pretty much business as usual here. Thankfully the kittens are good about taking their meds so that helps.
Mom went shopping at Aldi's earlier this week and found this cute basket.
MIKE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!!
A nice young couple saw her online and cane to meet her. Of course they were totally charmed by her and once they settled in their new place, mom and Miss Heather delivered Mike to get new home. All one level and small enough to give her space to explore but not get into trouble.
Mike is truly the example of never giving up. Mom knew there was a family out there that was a fit for Mike. And it may have taken a while, but it happened. Mom and Miss Heather are sad she isn't here but so excited she has her own family.
Congrats Mike and your new mom and dad!!
Tiffany is not the bravest. The boys come right over to mom for attention but Tiffany was always been reluctant and mom would have to catch her for everything.
So on Sunday mom turned Tiffany into a purrito.
At first Tiffany was NOT impressed. However, she finally relaxed. And the she sighed. And then she purred.
She still needs a few days but it was a big break through.
The kittens were making quite the racket and mom saw this video when she checked the camera:
Chanel (and Ivy and Daiquiri) got a pawdicure and then had to inspect the job:
They are all doing well. Meds are over and their colds are gone. The boys are super friendly and seek out attention. Tiffany is not so convinced.
Mom broke out the squeeze ups though. Norman loves them and would have eaten the wrapper on Sunday. So yesterday mom put some on a plate. Then she can pet Tiffany and make a positive association. Norman had to be picked up to keep him from eating all of it.
Good news - Ash went back to the shelter on Tuesday and was ADOPTED that evening!!
------------------------------
The shelter had 2 groups of cats and kittens that were left at their doors. Some of the kittens have colds and need to be on medication. Since Ash was ready, he went back and three new kittens came here. They are about 6 weeks old.
Ash is having a good time. We think he goes back to the shelter on Friday. The girls may be happy to see him go. Chanel has been caught grooming him,but his favorite game is jumping on the back of the closest cat.
Mom was busy this weekend and interesting enough he was kind of clingy when she got home after being gone for several hours.
He's a good boy though probably could use another active young cat in his forever home.
He's clearly living a tough life. Haha
The shelter asked mom if we could take a single kitten for a couple of weeks. He's had a cold and they want to give him a chance to really get over it.
Since he is by himself, mom put him in the foster room the first night. And he was BORED. So, knowing he's been on meds for several days and it should be fine, mom let him out.
Plus let's be honest - we don't like kittens enough to let him get that close.
Meet Ash. 9 week old gray tabby with white toys. He's very sweet once he wears himself out.
The girls did well and mom got to see them last night. Also turns out Buttercup's name is actually Butterfly. Oh well
We suspect they will be adopted by the end of the weekend.
Mom goes in to volunteer every other week and met some other great cats too:
Well the girls go for their spay today and then to the adoption floor at the shelter. They have berm sweet girls and it's always nice to have easy kittens here. They've been friendly and outgoing and fun.
They are doing well. They love to play with the toys and fortunately haven't discovered the covers on the doors are probably too low and they could escape if they wanted. Jasmine (the orange tabby) continues to be a little shy but doesn't struggle once she is caught. The torbie girls are very outgoing and friendly.
Mom did get another cabinet for the room and rehung some of the decorations so for now it is done. It seems to be working well.
Mike is still hanging out with Miss Heather. She is having a good time with more space and mom is learning more about Mike's habits for anyone who adopts her.
The shelter names kittens when they come in so it's not up to mom. But - she got to see their paperwork at the shelter so we know which kitten is which.
All the girls have purred for mom now. Jasmine seemed very displeased by it but settled in. They love all the toys especially the springs.
Mom had thought maybe she could store canned food on the shelf in the new cabinet. Clearly the kittens have other ideas. As they always do.
