He's a party

 Ash is having a good time. We think he goes back to the shelter on Friday. The girls may be happy to see him go. Chanel has been caught grooming him,but his favorite game is jumping on the back of the closest cat. 

Mom was busy this weekend and interesting enough he was kind of clingy when she got home after being gone for several hours. 

He's a good boy though probably could use another active young cat in his forever home.

Ash AND Quartz were adopted this week. (no, not together) Mom got to meet Ash's new mom - there is an 11 month old girl cat at the house so Ash will have someone to keep him company. Mom didn't meet Quartz's family, but we are very glad they are both home.

Jet is still at the adoption center. She is in the kitten room and is out and about. She is a little skittish with people though. Add that to being black and mom worries about her.

Mom tried to get an updated picture of Quartz, but the official greeter of the kitten room kept walking up to the camera before mom could get a picture. Ash is SO much bigger than Coral now.

They had all been taken off the adoption floor. Ash and Jet developed a cold and Quartz's collar got wet and attached to her neck and cause a wound that needed tending. Jet is still a little jumpy but doing much better. Ash and Quartz are both so friendly and outgoing. Now to get them adopted!!!

weekend wrapup

The rescue still has a relationship with a couple of Petco stores and our friend Miss Beckie deals with one that is about 15 minutes from our house. There was space in their cages, so Ash is there as of Sunday afternoon. There are other kittens his age and he went right in with no complaints.

Jet, Quartz and Coral are still here. There is an event in a week or so and mom said they may stay here until then and make sure their eyes are completely cleared up.

Mom missed our Blogoversary yesterday. Amazing that it has been 5 years.... we have had many many fosters, lots of adopters, met lots of people, made so many new friends. There have been joys and losses....but the journey has been wonderful. And we are overjoyed you have joined us on this journey!!!

Clem and Tange are getting bigger every day. And more mobile....in fact mom had to upgrade them from the box to a bigger boxed in space. Tange was getting in and out of the smaller box on her own and mom wants to keep her out of trouble. Sunshine is still being a great mom...

Opt to adopt - Ash

Well, with Captain Dingbat (Ash) getting his stitches out last week, it is about time for him to go up to the adoption center since no one showed any interest this weekend at the adoption event. He is on Petfinder, but being seen in person makes the adoption process happen much faster. Mom is probably going to get him up there this week.

Ash is now 15 weeks old and just sweet as can be. He LOVES to play and loves his sister Coral, the other kittens and the adult cats here as well. He would be great with another cat, a slightly older kitten or even by himself (though we love seeing kittens getting adopted in pairs and there are LOTS at our adoption center that need homes that are about his age).
