foster room

Mom spent last weekend cleaning and moving some stuff around in the foster room to get it ready for "kitten season" this year. Dandelion hasn't been interested in the room at all, but apparently mom being in there changed his mind and he spent some time over the rest of the weekend laying by the door trying to figure out what is on the other side. Cassis was keeping him company....mostly.

Speaking of Cassis, she didn't get spayed on Monday. She was a little sneezy over the weekend and mom didn't feel like running Cass to the clinic just to be told they wouldn't spay her. She has been rescheduled for the first part of February.
(with this particular clinic, they won't do surgery for ANY little thing that they think is wrong....and since we live on one side of town and mom works over on the other side of town, it is a pain to get a kitten to the clinic and then have to figure out how to get them home again)

  1. Well Dandelion is probably happy that Cassis is still around.

  3. Better to err on the side of safety? That clinic is doing the best they can, and since you know their high 'standards', you can keep all of the running around to a minimum, at least. Thank you for all the work you do for the kitties; your time and energy are SO IMPORTANT!

    1. if it was really a safety issue maybe, but they freak out about EVERYTHING and it is just annoying from a rescue standpoint

  4. Purrs to Cassis and paws crossed she's able to be spayed in February.

Of course Dandelion would be interested now -- what's the human doing, what goodies are in there for kitties? :-D

  11. what that must be frustrating, it really is in the kitty's best interest to be fully healthy. Purrs for Cassis (a little less retroactively this time)
