more of the hots....

Wow - we HATE this weather..... it is supposed to be over 100 degrees every day this weekend. We hope those animals and people that don't have shelter can get some help. And if you have ferals, PLEASE put out water with ice.....

Mom noticed the other night that the a/c was working over time. She cleaned the filter (something she needs to do more often) and when that didn't help, she turned off the a/c part and left on the fan to avoid it REALLY breaking. And we all did this all night.....

The very nice heating/cooling guy came out yesterday morning and he added coolant and said the coiler had frozen (don't get that one - it is 95 degrees outside and 85 degrees inside but whatever). He said turning off the a/c helped but Mom should have turned off the fan as well. But - at least it wasn't a major repair. He did say the machine is about 12 years old, so it would seem that mom is gonna have to start saving the green papers for a new a/c machine.

  1. You are all sprawled out on the floor and mom said she would love to be there with you. Good thing she isn't though cause she'd be trying to kiss and pet. You know how annoying humans can be. *I* sure do. xoxox

  2. Sure glad you had the AC fixed. Look at those hot little kitties. Stay as cool as you can. We are sick of this hot weather too. All of ours seem to be staying in the shade and are so far all right. Take care.

  5. I leave out a container of water for the neighborhood kitties. My own kitties don't like the "neighbors" but they just have to deal with it in the summer.

  6. At least you got the AC fixed for now. We just had a motor replaced in ours last year, but it's more than 10 years old and we don't know how much longer we'll have before needing to replace it.

  18. You all do look hot. We were pretty hot today to, had a disc dog event in Dublin. Phew... we will be back at it again tomorrow.

Has your mom ever thought of a home warranty? They don't cost much and will replace your ac unit if it breaks, you just pay the $60 deductible.
