Finally Friday

Mom says it has been a long week. We say she only worked 4 days so what is she complaining about. :)

Sally is at the v-e-t today getting her ladygardenectomy. Please be thinking about her. (yep - she now FINALLY weighs 2.6 pounds)

Thanks for all the well wishes and helpin' us with the house trashin'. Mom should be busy most of the weekend cleanin' up. MOL

The boys from the Army of Four mentioned yesterday that it is strange that it took mom 4 months to decide to keep Tim and Tom. Yeah - she is kinda slow like that. MOL

Mom was reading an article on Catster about favorites. Now, she claims she doesn't HAVE a favorite, but we suspect she isn't being very truthful. And we know that some foster monsters get her more than others.

In the house now, it would have to be Doc, Bourbon and Whiskey. Whiskey is just always looking for attention from mom (who would guess his mommy is feral?) and loves to be loved on. Bourbon loves attention as well but his leg issues and his refusal to give up make mom smile.  And then there is Doc. As mom says, that boy is just..... special. MOL

Yeah - he appears to be partly gray. That was new when mom got home. She thinks he may have been playing in the fireplace ashes. sigh....

The alcohol kittens are out and about and having fun. Mom still only lets them out under supervision - unless someone (cough*Tim*cough) moves the gate and they get free. They have discovered the cat tree and everyone climbs like mad - even Bourbon!!

Finally Friday.....

Mom says this has been a long week. But we think she says that EVERY Friday.....

Spud is afraid the weekend is just going to FLY by.....

Not much new here.....it is back to normal spring weather....we have the windows open for fresh air, but mom says it is a little chilly going to about 55 during the day and the 40s at night. :)

As you can see however, the cat tree has gone back into hibernation.

Finally Friday.....

It has been a long week. But - at least the weather has been warm (though rainy today) and we are getting in some serious window whiffin.

Nothing much going on this weekend. Mom said something about basketball and March Madness. Guess that means more yelling at the TV. :)

We plan to just hang out and enjoy ourselves!!

Mom got a call from her neighbor last weekend about our neighborhood cats. Seems the one boy they haven't caught yet was limping....mom gave her access to the house to get the live trap but no luck yet. However, she has nearly caught Blackie 3 times now (he has been caught once every season we put out the trap...no fear of live traps). :)

Speaking of ferals, Brian has a chip-in set up for a local group in his area that needs some help. Mom got paid today so we are stealing some green papers to send.

Otherwise, we have been behaving....as much as we ever do. Mom says she is busy tomorrow but we are planning a slow Sunday.....

Finally Friday.....

Mom says it has been a long week.....

Martin is....settling in. Junior is completely ignoring him, which mom finds a little strange. We shall see. In the meantime, he continues to act like a petulant 2 year old kid. Mom was sitting in her chair watching tv and eating a snack. He wanted some and kept getting up and being nosy. She kept pushing him back on the floor. After the 3rd time - he ran down the hall, came back and got her - wrapped his paws around her ankle and bit her!! RUDE!!!!  Did this sneak attack thing 3 times before mom grabbed him and he got a time out in the bathroom. Mom is hoping to let him out more this weekend and hopefully that will help him some.

Otherwise, we are taking it easy...hope you are all doing the same.

(Mo was getting feisty one night, so mom flipped him over and

shoved him between her leg and the arm of the chair. He must

have stayed there for about 30 minutes - purring!!!)

Finally Friday.....

We are expecting a quiet weekend. Mom said she has a transport tonight but nothing this weekend. Weird....  And she said something about no basketball, so she won't be yelling at the tv (yeah!!).

The rescue has 2 kittens at Petco that are about 5 months old. One of them is coming down with a little cold and mom said he may come visit for a week instead of creating waves at the store. Plus he is a little shy, so the socialization might help him. We shall see over the weekend.  (late note from the mom: I got an email back from the other volunteer that helps coordinate that store - both kittens have been adopted and are going home this afternoon....YEAH!!)

Tim has decided to give mom the back of disdain unless she breaks out the wand toy and some treats this weekend....

Finally Friday.....

Mom says she is still astounded that a 4 day week can last so long. Nothing too exciting this weekend....mom has an adoption event on Sunday so she will be gone part of the day. The sun has been out a little bit the last couple of days, so Mo has been working on his tan in the sun puddles.

Mom is gone for the day taking care of grandma - she has weird reactions to anesthesia, so mom planned to take the day off and spend it over there.  She is taking her laptop, but grandma doesn't have wi-fi and their computer is REALLY slow....so she may not be online much.

It has been a long week....Mom in fact woke up yesterday and thought it was Friday. Was she disappointed when she realized it was only Thursday.  MOL

Our football team has a bye this weekend, so mom is hanging around the house. A potential transport and we shall see from there....  We do know the weather is supposed to be nice, so thankfully the windows should be open.

Kiari and Cloud are doing very well. Eating about 3 small cans per day of kitten food plus some dry that mom leaves out for them. They get their first vaccination today.
