Random Fridays

Chanel does leave the ski chalet at times....
Goldfish tried it out

Daiquiri claims it quite a bit

and....she's back

In case you missed the news, Peroni was adopted on Wednesday. Guinness has also been adopted and goes home tonight. YAY!!! The adoption center has been busy as well with lots of adoptions and homes for the holidays.

Everyone here is doing well. Kilkenny's eye is doing better and Mike isn't sneezing nearly as hard.

Mom tried an experiment with Goldfish the other night. Goldfish was standing on the bed and mom slipped her hand under Goldfish's chest to try to lift her a little off the bed. No such luck - mom didn't even get her hand closed and Goldfish fell over kicking with her back feet and trying to bite. The good news is that when mom moved her hand, Goldfish rolled over and was all about the loving, so she is at least quick to forgive. Mom still needs to try the treat thing while sitting in the living room, but things have been a little crazy around here.

  1. Sounds like Goldfish is making some progress. Glad those two got adopted. What a fun time for them for Christmas. You all have a wonderful day.

  2. You are an excellent mom with all the kitties, yours or fosters. I admire it sincerely.

  3. One thing that I forget to do is to blink at my kitties. Having read Jackson Galaxy's account of the slow blink, I try to use it on all of The Eastside Cats, but only if I remember. The first time I was able to put my hand under Sweetie, and lift her chest a wee bit, without her freaking out, was so fantastic!

  4. That is awesome news about both Peroni and Guinness! I do think Goldfish will come around eventually. It just takes time, of course, and she will probably always have a bit of a wild side - but I think she already realizes she's where she really wants to be.

  6. Adoptions are going well with our rescue-group, too. It's making up for a poor autumn.

  8. Hooray for the adoptions! Hopefully the others find their furever homes soon too, maybe after Christmas.

Good to hear both Kilkenny and Mike are improving too.
