Once again, not much going on here this weekend. Supposed to be chilly and maybe some snow on Sunday. ewwww
Mom has the foster room cleaned and set up (mostly). Our fairy catmother (Izzy's mom) sent us a jumbo sized cat litter mat and mom has to get that put in. Otherwise, we are just waiting for kittens. Cassis has her spay surgery on Wednesday. The norm about here is to bring them back to the house for a couple of days to recover. However, the 11th and 12th are an adoption event weekend at one of our partner stores, so mom will hang on to her and take her and Dandelion to the event that weekend.
We are almost a week in on the meds for Dandelion. Not noticing much of a change but mom's heard that it can take the full round to make a difference. Of course, he is making it a huge THING in the morning to be pilled. At night mom has more time to sneak up on him and catch him laying down. However, first thing in the morning, he is on the run, places to go and says NO THANKS to the pill. In reality, he is good about taking it, but bad about being caught. MOL

a snoozing Junior
this is why most pictures of Daiquiri are of her sleeping
she hears the camera (or the phone) and has to come check it out
if you believe that is the face of innocence,
you would be very wrong HAHAHA

Good luck with Dandelion! The daily meds are always exciting. I think they enjoy the challenge.
ReplyDeleteThe Hubby used to find Chucky wherever he was in the house, pick him up, bring him downstairs, sit down with Chuck in his lap, then open his jaws with his fingers and drop the pill bundle in. Now, he's learned to leave Chuck where he is, and gently drop the pill bundle in! Both of them are much calmer about it now, and sometime Chuck will sit by The Hubby's chair, waiting for his pills! We've found that pill paste works well. Here's hoping Dandelion starts showing some progress.
ReplyDeleteOh, it IS the face of innocence!!!! I know these things. Trust me, I'm a Siberian Husky.
ReplyDeleteSending prayers that the meds will start to kick in!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

ReplyDeleteGood luck, sweeties! We know all about pilling, Dandelion. Anytime we see our Mom coming at us with a towel, we know someone's getting a pill. Sure, it always makes us feel better, but still....ugh.
ReplyDeleteI REALLY hope that Dandelion finally finds a home!

Ah, kitten watch. We can't wait for the pictures.
ReplyDeleteSo except for the twice daily pilling, you're all just hanging around waiting for kittens?
ReplyDeleteThe kitten at our shelter who is on the same med is doing a bit better. The mom says he's less snotty (she's the one that has to clean the snot off the walls of his cage) and his breathing is getting better. And the good news is that we think he may have an adopter! We're purring the same for Dandelion.
ReplyDeleteYou have a very nice fairly catmother =^x^=
ReplyDeleteAnd I send lots of purrs to you,Cassis and Dandelion
OMC. Poor Dandelion. And poor YOU! Paws crossed about those daily meds! ;)
ReplyDeleteif you don't start calling her innocent in public, you're going to have a harder time finding her a home ;)
