Mom's car was broken into on Friday. They broke into the garage and took everything in the car and threw it around....and stole mom's wallet that she had accidentally left down there. So mom spent Friday cleaning up the car and getting a new license and getting all her info updated.
And then mom got home after work and there was a cat she had never seen before wandering around the front door - very friendly and walked right up to mom. Mom grabbed her, got permission and took her to the rescue where she will be checked for a microchip and if nothing found (she wasn't wearing a collar or anything), we will look for an owner and then rehome her.
Otherwise mom stayed around the house and enjoyed the a/c with us and the kittens.

Oh no, I am sorry about the car breakdown. We have had our car broken into a couple of times and it is a terrible feeling. I hope there wasn't much in her wallet for them to steal. Hope the new kitty will have a chip.
ReplyDeleteSo deeply sorry about your car being broken into. I don't keep anything of value in my car, if they break in, the joke's on them. Pray you didn't lose much in your wallet, that's extremely scary. catchatwithcarenandcody
ReplyDeleteOh wow, we are so sorry for this! We hope it all gets cleared up soon. May the new kitty find her way home, or to a better home.
ReplyDeleteRansacked! How awful; hope you didn't lose too much $. That's scary, tho'. Maybe the stray kitty was sent by the gods to help balance out the scary energy with loving, caring energy.
ReplyDeleteIt would be the one time your mum left her wallet in the car. That's terrible. You'd think the thieves would have easier targets than an automobile in a garage.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your mom's car! That would be so upsetting to have to replace everything. The kitty picked the right place to show up--someone who would be kind to her!
ReplyDeleteHope you can find the cat's owner that wandered up to the house.
ReplyDeleteSorry about Mom's car. That sure stinks. Does she know who did it???

ReplyDeleteTHAT ... had to be VERY un-fun. And on a weekend with a lot of hots, too. UGH.
ReplyDeleteWe hope your trip works out okay and all your IDs get replaced quickly!
Your mom sure had a rough weekend. It really sucks that her car got broken into. Stoopid humans.
ReplyDeleteThat is awful, I hope they catch whoever did it.
