Predictions aren't easy here in Canada: Shubenacadie Sam, who prognosticates in Nova Scotia foresaw an early spring; Wiarton Willie, a bit more famous Ontarian groundhog, disagreed. But Punxsutawney Phil, in the U.S., supports Sam. As for me, I'll check to see what the sky is like each day...
Happy Ground Hog's Day to you too! I don't know how reliable ground hogs are when it comes to weather, but I certainly hope this one is right. It would be nice to see spring come early! :) -Purrs from your friends at www.PlayfulKitty.net
right? I watched a segment on tv about how they want to do away with the groundhog because of permits and legal issues getting one and how inhumane it is, and people were all like 'oh nose, we haz to has groundhog' it was just sad
We don't trust rodents here, either. Our great-sister Amber was born on the second of February and Mom always trusted her forecasts, though. And she was NEVER wrong! Cammie!
We were sure you were going to swallow us this Groundhog Day !!

Exactly what I was thinking!

MOL! We heard the groundhog did not see his shadow so warmer weather should be along soon, but we don't put much stock in what a rodent says, either.
ReplyDeleteYep, I think it is the weirdest holiday ever - something only humans would think up!
ReplyDeleteThat is so true. What the heck does that rodent know. Just have to wait and see and Spring will come eventually whether it is early or late.
