Look what we got

Mom is a big fan of water fountains for us. But some are seriously expensive. We got a Drinkwell from PetSafe but the darn thing broke - twice - and their customer service was terrible, so that went back. Then mom found one on sale at Petco and got that. And Tim broke out something terrible from the plastic dish. (we had no idea - mom switched to ceramic dishes many years ago - before Tim came here)

However, our friend Amy Shojai hooked up with a new online pet store, we thought we would give it a try.
It was super easy to set up and came with a mat for the floor. Basically - put water in the holder and plug it in. It comes with a container for water but mom went ahead and bought the bigger one they offer since there are more than a few of us here.

This fountain is plastic, but it has a UV light where the water comes out to kill bacteria....see that blue light??  Mom is hoping that this will keep Tim from breaking out. It just came last night, so she will give it some time to see what happens. But there is a 30 day guarantee, so we can get our money back if he does have a reaction.

Everyone was pretty excited. Mo and Tommy were checking it out before mom even got water in it.

Oh and someone has decided it makes a good toy too.....

  1. I like the UV light, that is something I haven't seen on cat products. Please post again after you have had it for a while, if you like it, I may get one for the kitties for Christmas. http://15andmeowing.com

  6. Ooo neat! We just got our fountain going again after DadKatt was in the hospital. I guess that was a decent excuse for MomKatt NOT to have cleaned it & allowed the water to evaporate!

  7. My Himalayan was allergic to plastic and so many of these fountains are plastic. We hope Tim does well with this one :-)

  8. Looks like it is well liked! Be sure and let us know how you like it in the future and if Tim does ok. We've always wanted one, but hate the bacteria thing. This might work!

  9. The cats appear to like it, several at a time, which would never happen at my house!

  12. We would LOVE to hear how it cleans. the one thing our mom hates about our ceramic drinkwell is that, after 5 days when she cleans it, there's slime covering the electric pump and the filter. Ewwwwww. She's hoping the UV cuts down on that a bit.

  13. I ordered 1 of these last week and the company called today to confirm my free trial purchase and my address. Very odd. Hope the fountain arrives and the cats like it.
