Junior's Gotcha Day and a birthday

Happy 6th Gotcha Day to Junior!

Resident stalker, menace and plaything for Daiquiri.
He was a cute little bugger when mom got him.
(despite being annoyed at being caught)

Now he hangs around inside. Mom can't touch him...she finally got the v-e-t to stop sending us his annual "bring him in for shots" updates cause NO WAY is that going to happen. He annoys the living daylights out of Spud and Ivy, but adores Daiquiri. Mom truly does think that it isn't that he is trying to be annoying....he just communicates differently since he was outside on his own until mom trapped him when he was over 3 months old.

And.....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR MOM

*check back tomorrow for a very special birthday present

Happy Gotcha Birthdays

Can you believe the orange menace has been with us for 4 years??!!???
Happy Gotcha Day Junior!!

He has gone from a skittish 3 month old kitten to a skittish almost 5 year old adult. MOL  Every once in a while mom will catch a glimpse of potential in him for friendly-ness, but for the most part he doesn't want much to do with people. Mom says she is glad that he is so good with the kittens. And hey - Daiquiri thinks he is awesome!  (for new readers, you can read about his introduction here)

In addition, the mom, her best friend, and the kid are all celebrating their BIRTHDAYS!!!
Ivy: wait - should we have gotten mom a present???
Daiquiri: doesn't that Santa Paws guy bring the presents??
Ivy: no, dingbat, only at Catmas....otherwise, for our birthdays we get present from mom.
Daiquiri: so she is going to buy herself a present for her birthday?
     Ivy: sigh.....

Mom is actually visiting her family this weekend, so we are celebrating by trying to get more treats out of the pet sitter. Wish us luck!!

Happy Gotcha Day!!!

Yep, a year ago, mom decided to keep the big orange guy and make him a permanent member of the crew.

no, I am not angry. why do you ask?

He has turned into quite the big cat, but is still pretty jumpy. Mom swears that someday she is going to pet him and he is GOING to like it. :) Right now, mom can get within about 3 feet. And the other day she was putting groceries away in the kitchen and she turned around and he was flopped over on the floor on his back. First time she has seen him lay like that. Of course, he moved before she could get the camera.

He was making noise the other day in the dining room and mom got out the video camera. He was stalking one of mom's hair ties (which she picked up when he walked away - don't want anybody eating them).

Oh, and it is mom's birthday too....guess we should wish her happy birthday!!
