First - good news: Cubanelle and Scotch Bonnet were both adopted. Cubanelle on the Saturday afternoon they went back, Scotch a couple days later.
Persimmon is now at a partner store and looking for her forever home. Hopefully that happens quickly. Mom has talked to the rescue and she does had a couple of restrictions for applications like no littke kids and not a good first time cat.
Stormy goes back to the shelter for neuter surgery then available for adoption on Thursday. He ha been funny to watch come out of his shell.
And of course never a dull moment as the rescue took a call Saturday night from a local animal hospital. A nice pair of ladies had been picking up furniture from Ikea and saw a kitten fall out from under the truck parked next to them. She went back under the truck when they tried to catch her but eventually was fished out of the engine compartment. The driver of the truck said the kitten wasnt his so the ladies took her.
She's probably about 9 weeks old. Very clean and people friendly so who knows how she got under the truck and went for a ride. She does have a limp and the rescue will need to get that checked out as well as get her spayed and all the necessary other things.
She was pretty screamy the first night in the foster room. Mom can't really sleep through that and also worries about the neighbors. So, knowing any potential risk, the kitten was released into the house on Sunday. At least it's mostly quieter.
