Almost October

Not that you can tell by the weather. Mom has to close the windows in the afternoon and the air conditioner is still on. Really in the 80s? We want fall!!

Anyhow....

Columbus went back to the shelter on Friday. Mom can't tell if she got adopted quickly or just isn't on the website yet. Hopefully she finds her family quickly.

We know lots of rescues and shelters are struggling for adoptions. Not ensure but mom suspects economic stuff. If you are able, your local rescue could use any help you can give. Even just sharing adoption or donation requests.

Marisol went home on Saturday. And the family also decided at the event to adopt another slightly older kitten named Thin Mint. They did 7 adoptions on Saturday which helps ease some pressure.

And just in time since the rescue took in 4 spicy kittens. Their mom was spayed and is back with her colony since she is feral. The kittens are about 6 weeks old and while not sure about people right now (they came in on Friday) they should socialize pretty quickly. We took 2 and Miss Heather took the other 2. Right now they hiss at mom but are totally fascinated by the other cats in the house so that helps. They are named after Indian spices. Meet Rai (mustard seed) with the mostly black face, and his brother Jira (cumin seed).

Fun and games

First, adoptions: Cincinnati, Zanesville and Pinwheel have all been adopted.

Gelato is currently in baby jail. She came down with a virus and will be in there until she's better. She will be more tha happy to tell you her life is terrible and she wants out.

To help our friend Miss Heather, 3 of her foster kittens are here. They are on break from the store and should go back next weekend. There were 7 total named sterling coffee drinks. Cortada (brown/white tabby) Mocha (brown tabby) and Latte (tuxedo) are with us.

Mocha actually has very mild CH as well.

Marisol has been allowed some freedom time out of the crate and is having a good time running around. Thankfully she has stopped growling and hissing at the permanent residents.

Also mom bought a cute ghost house from Aldi.
