We had 2 cats still at the rescue that were our former fosters. Chester (formerly Kyan of the gemstone kittens) and Bissell (momma cat to the vacuum kittens).
Well....exciting news: Bissell was adopted and went home on Thursday and Chester went home on Saturday.
We are always excited when our momma cats get adopted. Concats Bissell.
But Chester came back to the rescue about 18 months ago when his family moved to Hawaii. They knew he would not do well in the required quarantine and decided to return him. He has waited a very long time. His new family is just a couple of adults and no kids. Mom sent them a text and he is already doing great. He hid for a couple of hours but is now out and snuggling and playing. Concats Chester.
This is our boy in his new home (Thanks for the picture L)

Wonderful news for them both! :-)
ReplyDeleteI never considered the irony of "vacuum kittens." Actually, I think my sister should be included as an honorary member. Seriously. That Smellie can find a microscopic piece of dried wet food no one else knows is there. Okay, that's not really what it means for fosters named "The vacuum kittens" - but we could kill two birds with one stone and you can foster her so she's official. No. Never mind. My Momma would get REALLY mad that I gave her away again (but really ... Smellie has low miles and is a good deal at $0). ~Bear Cat
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful when the adults get adopted. I don't know why kittens are preferred to them - other than their incredible cuteness. They will be adults soon enough, so an adult cat is what a person gets anyway. I would always go with oldsters now. Besides, I'm too much of an oldster now myself for rambunctious kittens...
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful news! Con-cats to everyone!!!

Hooray! It's always great to hear good news.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that the original adopters returned him, rather than some of the other things that we all know people do! Now he has a furrever home, and here's hoping he's going to enjoy being top cat there.
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful news indeed!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
