Yesterday, Dave from the Army of Four seemed appalled that not everyone gets up at 5am. Seems the kittens agree with him - we heard them in the bathroom right around 5am again. Fortunately they settled back down pretty quickly so all of us and mom could go back to sleep.
Mom spent some time with them last night but it was her shelter night, so she didn't get as much time as she wanted. The social girl from Monday is still pretty outgoing - and lovey!!! The other two need some work. The other fuzzy girl is scared but mom thinks she will come around. Mom is going to try the same routine on her that she used on the other one - wrap her in a towel and hold her for a few minutes several times per day until she relaxes.
That short haired one is going to give mom a run for her money though. Mom still can't get her hands on it - and no idea if it is a boy or a girl. :) Mom did stick her hand in the carrier last night and was scratching the lovey girl - who was rolling around and purring while right next to her ornery sibling. Mom was hoping the other would relax once it realized its sibling likes mom. Nope - still hissy. And it put the smacky on mom this morning too....those baby nails are SHARP!!! But, mom is going to take the top off the carrier tonight and give that baby some love - like it or not!! MOL
Here is a picture of the two from Tuesday. Mom tried to get a picture of all three, but the short haired one kept ducking under its siblings. And boy do we need to name these kids.... Ideas?? We try not to repeat groups....which is making it harder since we are 80 some kittens into fostering.
No ideas for names, but oh, my, they're just precious. Look at them, so scared. Poor babies.
ReplyDeleteWe are not good at names at all. You would not want our Mom to make any suggestions since they wouldn't be good for anything except a good laugh. They sure are cute. Hope they find terrific homes
ReplyDeleteOh those precious babies. What an adorable picture. Mom said she'll be thinking of names..
ReplyDeleteHow about Beatrix and Eloise?
ReplyDeleteAdorable little babies! We wish your Mom luck with loving up the little short-haired one! We know he/she will come around!
ReplyDeleteHow 'bout Wynken, Blynken and Nod? Maybe that'll help with the sleepy part. Ha roo roo roo!
ReplyDeletePlay bows,
Zim
PS: And I want you to know I did NOT get my mom up at 0500 today. It was more like quarter of 4. It's her fault - she's the one who named me after a Drill Sergeant!
they are so precious!
ReplyDeleteAwwwww they're so cute!!! Awwwww and such fab suggestions for names! I'll be calling them cutie pie, gorgeous cakes and adorable misfit! LOL!! take care

Oh, they are adorable. I've never had a white cat...even though I really would like one, it just hasn't worked out that way. Probably best, since I'd probably name it something dumb like Snowball, Coconut, Pearl or Sugar. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThose little ones are so darn cute!!!
ReplyDeleteOh my, they are simply adorable! We will purr and pray that they learn that people are nice...
ReplyDeleteAw, so cute! I hope they aren't this scared for too long.
ReplyDeleteThey are just so cute!! I hope the ornery baby will feel comfortable around you very soon.
ReplyDeleteHmm, name...Marshmallow comes in my mind but it may be too common?
They are just sooooo cute and adorable. Wow, 80 foster kittens???? You are just wonderful! I know whom to turn to if I experience problems in fostering, which I am hoping to do one day when I have my own home.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little appalled that not everyone gets up at 5 a.m., too. How did I get to be so lucky?
