National Feral Cat Day.....

Alley Cat Allies started this to raise awareness about feral cats and the communities they live in. As some of you are aware, we have been doing TNR in our neighborhood with a pretty good success rate.

Some of our favorite groups with ideas to help you out:
First Coast No More Homeless Pets in Jacksonville FL
SOS of Ohio
Best Friends Animal Society

There are groups out there that say ferals are a menace. However, TNR has been shown to control populations. Trap and kill isn't a solution.....

  1. Trap and kill?!?!? Oh no, really?? Oh no, that has to stop! :-(
Me and Charlie purr and pray for all ferals - may they find tlc from caring wonderful humans!

    Take care

  2. I´m following Alley CAts Allies!
    Thanks to share!

  3. We are all formerly feral here at The Lounge. Humans need to get us spayed and neutered.
Our feral guy Henry really likes his new Hut, and of course his dinner!
We are glad you opened your heart to you fostering formerly feral kittens, bless you.

  4. Because I'm such a big supporter of feral cats, I've found that there are lots of organizations, big and small, that help feral kitties all over the U.S. And many of them got their training from Alley Cat Allies.

  5. Wonder who started those groups that say ferals are a menace. They are far from a menace. Probably some uneducated person that knows nothing about feral cats. They can be the very best.

  6. Thank you for posting about feral cats, and National Feral Cat Day. TNR totally works!

  7. Thank you so much for raising awarenss. xx

We love to hear from you.....
