Mom the techno dork struck again....some of you saw this yesterday....cause she hit the wrong button. Sorry about that....
~~~~~~~~~~~
Sheesh - we got cold here again....really cold!! Also - mom has been sick most of the week, so our comments haven't been up to par....sorry about that.
~~~~~~~~~~~
We are going to ask you for a favor. A kitten named Faelynn came into the rescue with a genetic issue - eyelid agensis (she was born with no eyelids). The rescue is committed to helping her, but the surgery isn't cheap and they posted a youcaring fundraiser. If you can help, that is great. We completely understand if you can't but anything is great. THANKS!!!
(if you want to just donate using paypal, go to the Colony Cats website (here) and click on donate and indicate it is for Faelynn)

Some 2016 adoption numbers for you from the rescue:
1,585 adoptions total
82 dogs and 1 pot belly pig
1,502 cats - 638 adults, 159 juveniles and 705 kittens
How cool is that for a small all volunteer rescue??
~~~~~~~~~~
From the mom:
I got home last night and there were two boxes outside the front door. One from Chewy with our food order and the other was an amazon box with a return address of "monster gift". OK. Took it upstairs, fed the cats, ate some dinner and finally got around to opening the box. No card inside, nothing to indicate who sent it. But I opened it and got a serious case of the giggles:
It's a cat carrier shaped like a VW bus!!! I had seen it online and fell in love but didn't want to spend the money on a novelty carrier.
For those who don't know, my brother works for VW and I drive a Beetle (and my previous car was a Beetle....you get the point).
THIS IS AWESOME!!! To our fairy catmother.....THANK YOU doesn't begin to cover it. I am still smiling and it will be well taken care of!!
PS....the mystery was solved on Facebook. Izzy (our former foster) and her brothers Dusty and Nicky got their amazing mom Dee to send this. Thank you so much!!!
Poor wee kitty! Colony Cats has a great record for adoptions!
ReplyDeleteIsn't she sweet. Fingers and paws crossed for her. I don't know if I can help at this time--Nicki's at the vet right now, having a dental. I nearly fainted from the estimate. I'll see what the final tally is when I pick him up after work. All the very best to this darling and for the fundraiser!
ReplyDeleteIs there a means of paying by PayPal? I am trying to limit the methods by which I pay, and that is one of them.
ReplyDeleteSweet girl. Thank you to your rescue for taking her in and getting her the care she needs. We hope that they are able to raise the money and that the surgery is a success!
ReplyDeleteI shared on Twitter!
DeleteWhat a lovely girl. We have to ask - have you contacted Tabby's Place, in NJ? They are an amazing shelter and sanctuary, and medically they do some astonishing procedures. They might be able to help her.
