Pet Dental Health Month

The nice people at Chewy.com asked if we would like to review the Feline Greenies this month. Since it is Pet Dental Health month, we though that was a grand idea.

Some of you may remember back in January 2013, Tim had his teeth cleaned, then was diagnosed with stomatitis and had most of his teeth extracted. (this is a great article from over on Catster.com)

Anyhow, if you have been around here much, you know that there are very few things we won't eat.

Though Ivy didn't seem to be a big fan this time around. Tim wasn't either, but since he doesn't have many teeth left, mom wasn't too worried. MOL

But, speaking of Tim, when he was at the v-e-t the last time, she noticed that the teeth he has left (his fangs basically) were also getting inflamed.
In honor of Pet Dental Health Month, Tim may end up being toothless.

Mom knows she should be brushing teeth around here, but honestly, she has this weird thing about keeping her fingers attached to her hand. Far be it from us to deny her the right to feed us more treats for a good cause.

  1. We don't get our teeth brushed, either, even though the head peep knows it would be best for us. So dental treats are our best bet!

  4. I give the cats some Biotene once in awhile; that's the closest we've gotten to brushing their teeth. Here's hoping Tim can keep his teeth and still be healthy!

  5. Brushing a cat's teeth is like the flavoured medicines that cats are supposed to love - one of those veterinarian-recommended things that are great in theory. They make me wonder how many vets actually have pets.

  6. Yeah, our mom feels the same way. Then again, she's always letting the outside visiting kitties bite her so what's up with that? Then again, again, do we want our mom sticking her fingers in our moufs? Hmm, let us bite a while on that one...

  8. Poor Tim! Inflamed teeth are no fun, and sometimes we kitties don't let on when stuff like that bothers us.

  10. Those treats sound tasty, but I won't eat any sort of treats since I discovered my mum had been hiding pills in them. I have my teeth brushed every day though and I am very good to have it done.

  11. The mom tried brushing our teeth and it was an epic fail! So we've been getting dental treats and we love them!

  12. I hope the Greenies work well for you! We can understand your mom wanting to keep her digits as it. :)

We got some of those nommy Greenies ones from Santa. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
