As always, we are thankful all our friends. We are purring for all those that need it.....
Mom is continuing to volunteer - just limiting her interactions some. The kittens were scheduled for surgery today - however, no chance of that - they don't weigh enough: George 1 lb 15 oz; Geoff 1 lb 12 oz; Gigi 1 lb 5 oz. sigh...... The cat lady is going to talk to the vet and run another test for parasites - and then check into changing their diets. Raw isn't an option since they will have to go back to the shelter but we may try grain free.....
And, we are thankful especially for updates from adopters: we got an email from the lady that adopted Bat & Mohawk - now named Lucy & Linus. You can read about them here: release the gremlins Mohawk's adoption Bat adopted
They are doing very well. They love Peanut (the cat with cerebellar hypoplasia) and apparently the pomeranian has taken to giving them baths. Their new mom says they love snoozing with Peanut under the Chrismouse tree....
YEAH!!! We love adoption updates....and knowing our former foster kitts are doing so very well in their new homes. It really does make the craziness worth it. :)

Purrs from the kittens, and YAY! for an update on Lucy and Linus. Yes, that would make it all worthwhile. :-)
ReplyDeleteWishing you a a joy-full day.
Glad you got such a good update from the kittens. That always makes you feel better. Those kittens are too darn cute. Mahoney will pass out like that. They do just pass out.
ReplyDeleteThose kittens are very pretty we hope they will all have great furever homes.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Lucy & Linus have some cozy new digs and they certainly look comfortable! And fluffy and cute as ever.

While raw might be out of the long term equation, it might be a short term solution. I put Bug on raw to help solidify her stools then put her on a grain free canned (wellness) to see what would happen. She held her own with it, and she went up for adoption with the condition of a grain free food (and I put a note that she loved and did very well on raw) My thought being that raw would settle things down and give her a "fresh start" if you will
ReplyDeleteJust a thought..
It DOES make it all worthwhile, doesn't it?!!?
ReplyDeleteHusky hugs to your mom!!!
Luv,
Dave
That's great news! We love to hear that previous fosters are doing well and are happy in their new home.
