So, Dr. Taylor and her tech came over last night. Mom had the kittens in a carrier in her bedroom. Spud was in the bathroom and Ivy and Junior were in the 2nd bedroom. There was much howling and moaning about the arrangements.
There was mostly cooperation about the drawing of the blood. Ivy got in a protest, but otherwise it went pretty well.
Except for Mo - he howled and moaned and screamed and tried to bite.....sigh....
Mo is in the dog house - he is all cute and lovey until he has to be restrained and then he turns into dracula!
So, mom plied the vet with cookies (certain people need to be given goodies) and then had to wait it out. Dr. Taylor said we should know today or Monday at the latest.
Dr. Taylor called mom this morning about 9am. And......
EVERYONE IS NEGATIVE
What a relief.....
Thanks for all your support and well wishes and purrs for us. Mom was pretty worried...especially about Maestro since he is 16 yrs old and not in great health anyhow.
Yay!! Great news! Dracula Mo is very cute!
ReplyDeleteYahhooo!! Great news! Sometimes it is really good to be negative!
ReplyDeleteParty this weekend over at Random Felines!
Thanks for coming to visit us. A quick rundown on Cody - He was adopted as a kitten, but was from a feral litter. He would let his first mom (Mom's mom) love him on his terms. When Grammie died, Mom inherited him, and has been working with him ever since to try to get him to accept pets and loving. He's 12 by the way, and Grammie died 9-1/2 years ago. Mom has only really been able to pet him in the last 5-6 months, but it's only been in the last 2 or so that he's really come around to where he seems to like it. He still hides and takes off running when Mom moves around. The petting has to be on his terms, and it's got to be an addition to treat time. Mom says that while it took 9+ years for him to come this far, it's been worth it, so keep trying with your semi-feral boy.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have new friends. We look forward to getting to know you better.
