weekend report

Daiquiri saw what you did there.

It was a pretty quiet weekend here. Mom was supposed to go to Tennessee but our grandma called on Thursday and said she thought she had a stomach bug. Mom cancelled the pet sitter but decided to still keep her Monday off from work (so she is home today). Then grandma called on Friday and said that her physical therapist told her she more likely had vertigo from the metal device in her neck...he tweaked something and TADA she was cured. Oh well....

Sigourney went to a partner store on Saturday. Another volunteer drove her out and got her set up. Miss Sarah said Sig was great on the drive and walked right into the cage at Petsmart. Hopefully she will get adopted quickly. Miss Sarah promised to give her a good write up and Sig is online. The only concern mom has is that the Petsmart stores had glass front windows on the cages. While this is a nice protection, it does keep people from interacting with the cats as much. We will keep you posted.

In the mean time, it is WAY cold and still winter here. Probably no kittens any time soon. But stay tuned...you never know.

  1. Sure hope Sigourney finds a home soon. She is so pretty, she shouldn't have a lot of trouble. Chanel, looks like you are having some fun with that toy.

  2. We're hoping Sig's forever family is on their way very soon! We're not sure what you meant by having glass windows on the cages. Were people able to touch kitties before through cage slots? Our local PetSmart and Petco stores have always had glass and no one's ever been able to touch and interact with the kitties, so we're jealous!

  3. Actually, I worry about open cages at pet stores, since the noise is pretty nasty sometimes! And most stores put the adoption center up front, where there is the maximum amount of comings and goings. But we know the shelter has the kitties in good hands, and are wishing for Sig's new family to show up RIGHT NOW!

  6. Wow, good for grandma. I'm glad she was able to get relief so easily. I wish we could all get a little tweaking like that.

  8. We’re hoping the best for Sigourney. Our local shelter uses PetSmart and we have pretty good luck adopting kitties from there.
