Random Fridays.....

Have you seen this over at Responsible Pet Ownership? They have info about new colored dog collars with messages in large print on them.....FRIENDLY or NO DOGS or DEAF or whatever......  We think it is a great idea. When mom volunteered at Best Friends, she discovered they have a color system too: RED for staff only, PURPLE for volunteers over 18 years old, and GREEN for everyone.

We have a temporary girl here for a week from the shelter. URI (or the "snot" as it is known here) is running rampant over there and they wanted this girl to have another place to recover. She isn't terribly snotty......though she isn't too sure about all of us yet.

Daisy

Her carrier however has been a big hit. Mom says it is strange we all seem to like it since she is SURE no one would go in if they had too......

In the meantime, we are all pretty sure if you look up "tortitude" in the dictionary, you will see a picture of Daisy. Holy smokes that girl has it in spades. She keeps hissin' at all of us....even the kittens behind baby jail. She doesn't do anything to back it up, so she is all talk but she kept it up most of Wednesday night. And she scared the holy heck out of poor Maxwell at one point. Mom said one of us is gonna have to have a chat with Daisy about social skills. We are still voting on who is gonna have to do that......

Thanks for all the well wishes yesterday for mom and Junior!!!  Junior got extra treats and mom had dinner with grandma and grandpa (mmmm - burgers on the grill).

Foster count update: one of the kitty girls at Petco got sick (nothing serious) so she went back to Miss Beckie's house. Which meant that Maxine went back to Petco. Strangely, she does seem to be doing better up there than at the house. We say - more power to you Max. :)

  4. Things sure are busy at your house. It's hard for us to keep up with all the activity. You all must be running in circles. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at The Cat on My Head, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

  5. Love the collars - I've passed the information to a friend who does dog rescue. Thank you.

Oh yes, "tortitude". We are very familiar with that. We've only had one tortie who didn't have THE attitude and that is Beatrice from last year. She was more like a cross between a black cat (best personality ever) and a dog than a tortie! Although I don't think she'd think the dog part was a compliment. :-)

  6. Two of my cats are the same with carriers. If I put it out, they will come over and get in it. If one as to go to the veterinary, I just have to wait and shut the door when she gets in. That makes up for the trials of trying to get the other two anywhere near a carrier.

  14. Thanks for the shout out! I think those collars are a good idea although they won't stop stupid people from doing what stupid people always do. =^..^=

It sure sounds busy around your home. LOL. That's probably the biggest understatement of the year!

  15. We think it is VERY important that each of us have some suggestions to the Beins about what kinna places we will do best at!

We were all lucky that TBT could guess well, but some kitties arent so lucky.

  17. Thanks for stopping by our bloggie! We hadn't blogged in so long that we are purring with happiness to see friends stopping by. Yes, Teri has been posting snippets on FB but not much more. She takes care of the FB page for work as well as now maintaining a client feedback page and well, it's keeping her busy but she misses blogging a lot so hopes to get in a rhythm of posting (and visiting) more!

You are always busy, too, with your fosters and trying to keep everyone healthy and not rock the boat too much...

We look forward to seeing you at BlogPaws this year!
